Oswald Pohl (1892-1951)

SS-Obergruppenführer (General). From 1942 head of the WVHA (Wirtschafts- und Verwaltungshauptamt – the Economy and Administration Main Office) under the SS. 1942. The WVHA was, among other things, responsible for the administration of the concentration camps and the exploitation of Jewish labour. After the war Pohl was sentenced to death for war crimes and executed.
